Ontario Government Providing Over $2.2 Million for Ottawa Public Health

The government of Ontario has announced the allocation of up to $60.09 M in one-time funding to 29 Public Health Units to support public health programs and services in 2025-26. This funding will support a range of local public health initiatives and service delivery priorities.

OTTAWA – The Government of Ontario has announced we are allocating up to $60.09 M in one-time funding to 29 Public Health Units to support public health programs and services in 2025-26. This funding will support a range of local public health initiatives and service delivery priorities. The funds allocated are at the discretion of the local unit to support their efforts providing essential services to the community.

“The allocation of these funds to Ottawa is amazing news for our community as Ottawa Public Health continues to provide great services for our community and I am proud to be delivering to or city and riding” said George Darouze, MPP for Carleton. “I am grateful for the Ottawa Public Health team for all they do serving this city and the residents of Carleton”

  • City of Ottawa Public Health Unit – $2,229,243
